Mr. Kretschmer has over a thirty-year career in financial services and investments. Prior to retirement, he served as Managing Director of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. from 1993 to 1994 and Oppenheimer Capital from 1995 to 2001, founding their Australia and New Zealand businesses. Prior to Oppenheimer, Mr. Kretschmer was a General Partner of Bear Stearns & Co. (Los Angeles) and later Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns & Co. (Boston). Prior to Bear Stearns, he was an investment executive with Shearson Hammill & Co. from 1968 to 1975 and executive vice president of Automated Management Systems Inc. from 1962 to 1968. Mr. Kretschmer has served on the White House Advance Staff and as an officer and director with many charities. He served in the US Military in Korea as a troop commander and is an Airborne Ranger. A graduate of Wentworth Military Academy, the University of Nebraska, and having attended the UCLA Graduate School of Management, he currently serves as a director of Cogent Financial Group. |
