Keith Hirsche joined Hampson-Russell in December 1998 as a Senior Research Geoscientist. His work experience ranges from "hands on" seismic data acquisition and processing to research and development. Keith has spent more than 25 years in the geophysical industry, primarily with GSI and Western Geophysical and he has filled assignments in Calgary, Dallas, London, Singapore and Perth.
For the past 20 years Keith has been actively researching techniques that improve reservoir models through the integration of seismic information with geology, petrophysics and reservoir engineering data. Most of his research activities have been related to Time-Lapse (4D) seismic monitoring and geostatistical reservoir characterization. Since 1991 Keith has been actively involved in the application of geostatistical techniques to reservoirs from North America, the Middle East, Africa, North Sea, SE Asia and Australia.
Keith is an accomplished teacher and speaker and through his research activities, he has authored, presented and published numerous technical papers for the geophysical community. He received best paper awards at the 1986 and 1996 CSEG conventions. Keith is a member of SEG, EAGE, CSEG, CHOA and the Petroleum Society of CIM. Keith has a unique global knowledge of seismic data collection and processing, rock physics, geology, geostatistics, geophysics, and reservoir engineering. |
