Beginning as Inside Sales Manager in 1971, Keith Clarno is appointed President of Cablecraft, Inc. in 1984. Subsequently, in 1986 Tuthill Corporation acquired Cablecraft - which is now part of a line of business known as the Controls Group. Keith is the current President of the Controls Group.
While at Tuthill Keith's focus has been on improving internal operating efficiencies of the LOB, which has been the hallmark of the Cablecraft Division. As a result, Keith has managed to consolidate four locations into one and relocated the manufacturing of Industrial products from Washington State to South Carolina. Keith has also been able to expand his market from the regional west coast to include the acquisition of Bristow Controls in the U.K. and M.F.B. in Germany.
After graduating from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Production, Keith started his career in 1961 as a Methods Analyst with the Boeing Commercial Airplane Division. In 1964 he was promoted to supervisor of a special studies group - supporting all manufacturing and transportation activities within the Commercial Airplane Division.
Keith is actively involved in numerous activities outside of work. He serves as a board member of such organizations as DECA, Business Week, Economics America, Pierce College (the Manufacturing Committee), Pacific Lutheran University, Corporate Mentor and Lincs and Junior Achievement.
