Keith D. Williamson joined The South Financial Group in October 2005. He serves as Executive Vice President, General Auditor, responsible for the Company’s internal audit activities, including the development and execution of an annual comprehensive, risk-based audit plan.
Mr. Williamson began his banking career in 1981 in the audit division of Deposit Guaranty National Bank in Jackson, MS. In 1986, he joined First Horizon National Corporation where he served as General Auditor from 2001 to 2005.
Mr. Williamson graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and completed the Program for Manager Development at the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Bank Auditor.
