Kees then spent two years as a military lieutenant before attending the University of Rotterdam where he was awarded an MA in Business Economics in 1969.
His first role after graduating was at Moret & Limperg. After six successful years there he was appointed to the Executive Board of Kon Scholten-Honig in 1976. He then took up a position on the Executive Board of AEGON where he subsequently took responsibility for regions including the USA the Netherlands and Europe. In 1993 Kees became Chairman of the Board at AEGON achieving impressive results in this role until he stepped down in 2002.
Kees’s career has since involved him with some of the world’s biggest companies: he sits on the supervisory boards of KLM PON Holdings AEGON Baxter International InBev and Unilever. His interest in healthcare has also led him to advisory positions with the Amsterdam Cancer Center and the Health Insurance Fund.
Fluent in four languages Kees loves running and adding new pieces to his pewter collection. He is married with two children. |
