Description of Practice:
Kaylynn L. Kim is an associate in Los Angeles office, where she provides critical associate-level support to the land use, environmental & natural resources team. Her practice focuses on land use entitlement matters, real estate transactions, municipal law, and international law. She has drafted purchase and sale agreements for both commercial and residential transactions, ground leases, license agreements, and easement agreements. Ms. Kim is also experienced in assisting foreign conglomerates establishing in the US market.
Ms. Kim was appointed by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners in September 2005. In her official capacity, Ms. Kim serves on the LADWP-POLA Joint Electrification of Port Committee and the POLA-POLB Joint Intermodal Facility Committee. She was also appointed by Governor Grey Davis to the Lanterman Development Center Advisory Board in 2002.
Ms. Kim is an active member of International Trade & Investment Committee, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Her signature activities include: she spoke about US-Korea Free Trade Agreement Forecast and What It Means to American Businesses before members of International Trade & Investment Committee of Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce; she moderated a seminar, Doing Business with Beihai, China; and she was the Master of Ceremonies, US-Korea Annual Business Submit 2006.
Kaylynn L. Kim was invited to become a member of Pacific Council on International Policy in March 2007.
Ms. Kim serves on the board of numerous charitable organizations including Koreatown Youth & Community Center and Steering Committee of Angel's Gate Cultural Center, San Pedro. Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Ms. Kim was in private practice, Law Offices of Kaylynn L. Kim, where she specialized in business litigation, corporate law and international trade & investment.
Ms. Kim speaks fluent Korean and conversational Chinese.
Educational History:
Kaylynn L. Kim received her doctorate of chiropractic from Southern California University of Health and Sciences (1997); she received her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law (2002). Ms. Kim is admitted to practice law in the State of California and the Federal Court of Central District of California. |
