Sixteen years experience as a legal assistant; ten years with firm working primarily on environmental and commercial litigation.
CERCLA
Assisted attorneys acting as common counsel and in representing individual clients, PRP committee work, remedy disputes, allocation proceedings, and cost recovery actions.
RCRA
Assisted in defense of enforcement proceedings, including discovery, document production, and document review at state environmental agency and EPA regional offices. Assisted attorneys in preparing comments in rule-making proceedings.
WATER
Assisted in third party rule-making proceedings before state environmental agency. Assisted attorneys in NPDES permit appeals.
AIR
Assisted attorneys in enforcement and compliance proceedings, including review of air permit documentation at state environmental agency and assembling document packages for modification and waiver of permit conditions.
GENERAL
Broad range of large case commercial litigation and toxic tort litigation.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Assisted in seeking and administering a multi-year, million dollar education grant to interface computing systems in colleges and universities in South Florida, including drafting of the final report; Served as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Facilities and Budget Planning for Miami-Dade Community College, the nation's largest community college; Duties included oversight of construction projects, presentations to Board of Trustees, interfacing with contractors and architects and administration of the budget for multi-million dollar projects; Six years experience as office manager for small law firm which included duties as legal secretary for tax and utility attorneys and firm accounting and personnel matters.
