Ms. Perry-Durbin joined Velocity Express in February 2000. As Vice President, Workforce Resources, Ms. Perry-Durbin has strategic responsibility for all aspects of Velocity workforce management, including human resources, employee relations, employee payroll, driver qualification, independent contractor relations, and enforcement of related risk management practices. Ms. Perry-Durbin's 16 years in human resources management includes design, development, and implementation of recruiting, compensation, and training programs. Her experience also includes labor relations and employment law in the energy, manufacturing and retail sales industries with Shell Oil, Amoco and Fleetwood. Other experience includes insurance liability defense with the Houston law firm of Hirsch, Glover, Robinson & Sheiness. Prior to entering the human resources management field, Ms. Perry-Durbin served as adjunct professor at the University of Houston teaching legal research and investigative methods. Ms. Perry-Durbin holds a BA from West Texas A&M, an MBA from Houston Baptist University, a certification from Southwestern Paralegal Institute, and the SPHR designation from the Society for Human Resources Management. |
