Katy Montgomery is a Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office of Major, Lindsey & Africa specializing in law firm associate and selected in-house placements. Katy earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center where she was a Legal Research and Writing Fellow and a member of the Barristers’ Council. She earned her B.A. in political science from Loyola University New Orleans.
Before joining MLA, Katy served as an Associate Director in Georgetown University Law Center’s Office of Career Services where her specialty was judicial clerkships. Katy began her legal career as a clerk for The Honorable Charles B. Kornmann of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota. She then worked for the Washington, D.C. office of Chadbourne & Parke. Katy has also taught legal courses at Hebei University in Baoding, China.
Katy lives in the Tenleytown area of Washington, D.C. and mentors weekly with College Bound, an organization that prepares public school students in D.C. to enter college and earn a degree. Outside of work, Katy enjoys traveling, reading books, and taking pictures. |
