Katie Cooney is a Client Partner with LeaderSource, A Korn/Ferry Company, based in the firm’s Minneapolis office. Utilizing her extensive background in human development and communications, Ms. Cooney has over 20 years’ experience as an executive coach, facilitator, and writer. Ms. Cooney’s coaching focus is on career/purpose, resilience, and interpersonal mastery. She specializes in helping leaders attain a centered sense of purpose that is fully expressed within their enterprise. Ms. Cooney has coached and consulted with executives at regional, national, and global organizations in industries including financial services, pharmaceuticals, health care, consumer goods, nonprofit, and education. As a published author, Ms. Cooney is a key contributor to the development of LeaderSource’s programs and communications, including the LeaderSource Coaches’ Guide. She is the author of Stay Competitive by Staying Resilient, M World, and co-author of Awareness Before Action, Personal Excellence.Ms. Cooney is a frequent speaker on topics of purpose and resilience, and teaches principles of human development in coaching and team building as an adjunct program instructor for Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Minnesota Chapter for the Association of Career Professionals International. Ms. Cooney holds a Master of Arts in Human Development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Minnesota. She also received formal Coaches’ Training through the New Ventures West Coaching to Excellence program, and is a certified Career Management fellow. |
