Kathy Rock joined Genworth in 2007 as CFO of European and Canadian operations for the International segment. She is focused on strengthening the business outside the US to enable further growth, efficiency and improving returns.
Prior to this role, Kathy was a Vice President with Fannie Mae from 2000 to 2007, where she established the Counterparty Risk Management function. In early 2006, she joined the financial restatement team, and developed and managed the Sarbanes Oxley compliance program.
Kathy began her career with GE in 1982 on the FMP program. During her tenure with GE, she spent six years on the GE Corporate Audit Staff, and held a number of roles with GE Capital and GE Capital Mortgage Corporation, including CFO for the US Mortgage Insurance Business.
Following her tenure with GE, Kathy was appointed Controller for the Federal Housing Administration, an agency of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she managed a multi-billion dollar program to sell defaulted mortgage assets to the private sector, resulting in significant savings to the US Government.
Kathy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in economics. |
