Kathryn Karford consults directly with institutions on recruitment and retention research, integrated marketing, and branding strategy. With 18 years of consumer and education marketing experience, she is adept at analyzing student and influencer populations and assisting clients in developing relevant and authentic marketing messages.
Ms. Karford's areas of expertise include the changing demographics of the millennial generation, minority student recruitment and retention, and the unique needs of adult students and online learners. She conducts quantitative and qualitative research including national surveys, on-campus interviews, and focus groups.
Ms. Karford has consulted with a variety of college and university systems, as well as more than 50 campuses of varying size and mission, including: the University of Alaska system; the state university system of Louisiana; the colleges of the Wesleyan church including Indiana Wesleyan (IN) and Houghton College (NY); the University of South Florida (FL); Carroll College (MT); South Carolina State University; Metropolitan State College (CO); Coppin State College (MD); Barton College (NC); Aiken Technical College (GA); and Samuel Merritt College (CA).
Previous experience
Prior to joining Noel-Levitz, Ms. Karford managed new product development and marketing for U.S. Bank. Previously, she owned her own marketing firm and managed consumer product accounts for Grey Advertising in Los Angeles. For several years she was guest lecturer for the business school graduate program at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Ms. Karford has presented at the College Communicators Association and the College and University Public Relations Association, as well as the Noel-Levitz National Conference on Student Enrollment and Retention. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University (UT). |
