Kathryn C. Goyer is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's New York office. She is a member of the Trial Department.
KC is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). While working in accounting and finance, she specialized in South African investment, international tax, and auditing not-for-profits. KC also lived and worked in South Africa, and has been a frequent speaker and author on the topics of prison reform and HIV/AIDS issues in South Africa.
During law school, KC completed an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice Fraud Section, focusing on securities fraud and conspiracy indictments. Her student note, "Nancy Temple's Duty: Professional Responsibility and the Arthur Andersen Verdict" was selected for publication in the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.
KC is admitted to practice in New York.
