Katie Terry focuses her practice on representing companies in both labor and employment law matters. She advises employers on the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, workers' compensation, drug free workplace policies and various other employment and labor law issues. Katie represents employers in state and federal cases and before other federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining Ford & Harrison, Katie was an Associate at Moran & Shams, P.A., counseling clients on a variety of labor and employment related issues with a specific emphasis on workers' compensation matters as well as pre-termination strategy and preventative measures to avoid employment disputes. She conducted training sessions for insurance adjusters and employers regarding workers' compensation claims handling and strategies to avoid workers' compensation pitfalls. Additionally, Katie was a speaker at the 2006 Workers' Compensation Forum.
Katie is licensed to practice before all Florida state courts and is a member of the Florida Bar.
