Kathleen Perone is the President of XLNT Technologies, an executive management advisory and consulting service which she founded in 2001. XLNT incorporates Ms.Perone's 30 years of executive sales and senior management experience; providing targeted due-diligence reviews, organizational and process analysis, sales and marketing strategies, and high level execution strategies for telecom and technology companies. Ms.Perone has a lengthy career in competitive local, long haul and international telecommunications. She has worked with emerging technologies as well as innovative new offerings which capitalized on rapidly changing regulatory environments, technical innovation, and sales ingenuity.
Ms. Perone is the former President and CEO of WestCom, Inc., the world's leading provider of specialized private line services for the financial trading community. Prior to WestCom, she was the President and CEO of FOCAL Communications, Inc., which was sold in September 2004 to Broadwing Communications (BRW). From mid- 2000 to early 2002, Ms.Perone was the Managing Director of Acappella Ventures,LLC, a private technology and telecom investment firm which specialized in early stage venture investing. Prior to Acappella, Ms.Perone was President, Level 3 North America. From 1990 to 1997, Ms.Perone was among the early pioneers in the competitive local access business created by MFS communications, Inc. At the time of the sale of MFS to WorldCom in 1997, she was President of MFS Telecom East, and President of the Global Services Division of MFS. Ms. Perone has also held positions at Cable & Wireless, N.A., LIGHTNET, which was sold in 1998 to WilTel, National Gateway Telecom, American Satellite company and RCA Americom , now GTE SpaceNet.
