Kathleen brings extensive newsroom experience to our Client Services Group. She has worked as a reporter, producer and editor in television, radio and print news covering topics such as presidents, senators, terrorism, weather and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools desegregation case. Before joining Capstrat, Kathleen was a reporter for WBTV News 3 in Charlotte and a regular guest reporter at WBT 1110 AM News/Talk. She also has written and produced television specials and worked as a freelance reporter for News 14 Carolina in Raleigh. She was an editor and reporter for The High Point Enterprise and The Leader, a Charlotte weekly paper. Her articles have appeared in a number of publications including The Raleigh News and Observer, The Charlotte Observer, 50+ and The Huntersville Herald. Kathleen also spent two years working in event planning and public relations for the Greater Piedmont Chapter of the March of Dimes in Charlotte. She was named one of Ten Outstanding Young Charlotteans of 2003 by the Jaycees for her work in news and her community service. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication with a concentration in print media from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
