Kenneth A. Murphy is a partner in the Products Liability and Mass Tort Practice Group of the Litigation Department. His practice includes the defense of product liability and other tort claims, including unfair trade practice and off-label promotion claims on behalf of pharmaceutical companies and other commercial entities. A trial lawyer, Ken routinely prepares and defends company witnesses at depositions, and conducts depositions of plaintiffs and expert witnesses. Ken also has litigated and tried to verdict cases involving claims of professional malpractice, breach of contract, defamation, wrongful termination, premises liability, sexual harassment and tortious interference with contract, in federal and state courts in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
In General. Ken received his B.A. from Duke University in 1986 and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1989. He is a past president of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia. He is a former member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Judicial Selection and Retention Commission and the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Minority Committee. He is also a member of the National Bar Association Commercial Law Section and a member of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. Ken is a former zone delegate of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and a trustee of the Presbytery of Philadelphia. |
