Kathleen L. Barber earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University, where she graduated cum laude in 2004. While at Georgetown, she served as President of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, was a teaching and research assistant to Dr. Douglas McCabe, Professor of Management, and was the recipient of the 2004 Gannet Award for Academic Excellence in Negotiation, Arbitration and Labor Relations. In addition, Ms. Barber served as a congressional intern for United States Congresswoman Karen Thurman (D-FL) in Washington, DC. During her last semester at Georgetown, Ms. Barber worked part-time as a Deputy Clerk Intern for the Clerk’s Office of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Ms. Barber earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2007. At the University of Miami, Ms. Barber received the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement for Outstanding Academic Performance in Analysis of Evidence for earning the highest grade in the course. After her first year, Ms. Barber was elected to become a member of the University of Miami Mock Trial Team. While attending law school, she was a summer associate with the firm.
Ms. Barber’s practice focuses on complex class actions, including securities, corporate governance, and consumer fraud litigation. |
