Ms. Feldstein has been a director since 2006, joining the Board of Directors upon the close of McClatchy’s acquisition of Knight Ridder on June 27, 2006. Ms Feldstein is a former director of Knight Ridder, who served on that company’s board since 1998. Since 1997, she has been president of Economics Studies, Inc., a private consulting firm in Massachusetts. She earned a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1977 and a bachelor’s degree in Russian literature from Radcliffe College in 1962. She specializes in fiscal and monetary policy and the impact of government economic activity. She serves on the boards of BellSouth and BlackRock Closed End Funds and is chairman of the board of McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass. |
