Experience:
Kathleen Walsh is a corporate partner in the firm's New York office, with a focus on private equity, and serves as a leader of the firm's Private Equity and Private Investment Fund practice groups. She represents private investment fund sponsors and principals in connection with the organization of both US and global private equity funds, including buyout funds, mezzanine funds, distressed debt funds, infrastructure and power funds, as well as the secondary purchase of private equity portfolios and the spin out of private equity managers from financial institution private equity funds.
Kathy also advises private equity funds in connection with portfolio investments and realizations. She has been recognized for her private equity work, with clients praising her ability to deliver "a superior level of service" (Chambers USA 2006).
