Katherine Kendrick has served as general counsel of DreamWorks Animation SKG since its initial public offering in October 2004. Previously, she served as general counsel and head of human resources of DreamWorks Studios SKG, since April 1996. Prior to joining DreamWorks, Kathy was vice president of European legal affairs for The Walt Disney Company based in Paris. Before moving to France in 1993, Kathy served in the legal department of Hollywood Pictures, a theatrical film division of Walt Disney Studios. Prior to joining Disney, she was an associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles specializing in corporate securities law. She has received several civic honors for her legal work and serves on the boards of numerous civic and charitable institutions, including The Next Generation Council of The Motion Picture and Television Fund, the advisory board of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, the Kernochan Center for Law, Media and the Arts for Columbia University School of Law, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles. Kathy received her J.D. degree from Columbia University and a B.A. in economics from The University of California, Berkeley. |
