Dr. Gray has a broad background in management, product development, and marketing and sales in health care. She has been a senior executive at Physicians' Health Plan (now Medica)--a United Healthcare Corporation managed health plan, Health Risk Management, the Center for Diagnostic Imaging, HealthOne Corporation--a hospital corporation, and the Ebenezer Center for Aging. Her twenty-five year career has included management positions in many segments of the health care industry, including HMO's and managed care, health care management for self-insured employers, long-term care, hospital systems, Medicaid and Medicare risk contracting, and specialty care clinic systems. A pioneer in health care quality and efficiency improvements, in 1997 Dr. Gary founded Sage Health Management Solutions, Inc. and has led an experienced team to develop a patented technology to improve the diagnostic process using Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) combined with evidence-based clinical decision support. She was recognized by the U.S. Department of Commerce for her entrepreneurial efforts when she represented America at the first Franco-American Entrepreneur exchange in Paris in 2005. Dr. Gray has served on several non-profit boards, as well as private and public sector committees, including her current position on the Medical Alley Board of Directors. Dr. Gray is the recipient of the 1994 Woman of Distinction Award, the 1999 Mansfield, Tanick & Cohen Women's Entrepreneurship Award, and the Women's Health Leadership Trust's Outstanding Achievement Award. In July 2001, she was recognized by City Business as one of the 25 Most Innovative Women in the Twin Cities for the technology developed and patented by Sage HMS. Dr. Gray has completed a BBA in Marketing from Marshall University, Huntington WV, and MA, PhD, and Post Doctoral Year at the University of Minnesota. |
