Katherine B. Forrest is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department. Katherine has a broad litigation practice, having represented a variety of companies in high profile and complex commercial litigation including many significant intellectual property matters in the internet and non-internet arenas. Katherine also frequently advises clients on the antitrust and competition law implications of a broad variety of business practices that arise from the structuring of business ventures or potential business practices. In particular, Katherine has advised record and media companies on a variety of competition and licensing-related topics. Katherine has also been actively involved in obtaining regulatory clearance from the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice for several high profile mergers in the entertainment, media, distilled spirits and defense industries.
In addition to her practice, Katherine regularly speaks to groups on topics in the areas of intellectual property, antitrust and competition law.
Katherine was born in New York, New York. She joined Cravath as a summer associate in 1989, became an associate in 1990 and became a partner in 1998.
