Katharine Dunn’s current practice includes a variety of complex litigation matters, including general commercial litigation, products liability, and professional liability litigation. While in law school, Ms. Dunn was a senior staff editor for the Consumer Law Review. Ms. Dunn is presently an active member of the Dykema Women’s Business Initiative, the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Representation of a national financial institution in a multi-million dollar professional liability action against a national accounting firm, including briefing of and participation in appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
Representation of national manufacturing companies in defense against complex products liability claims
Representation of nation’s 3rd largest public school system under federal consent decree mandating compliance with federal special education laws, including involvement with management of direct strategy and compliance activity of over 600 schools and data collection and reporting by special education administrators and staff
Representation of a variety of retailers and wholesalers in defense against claims of violations of Title 25 U.S.C. §305e, The Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 (IACA) and The Indian Arts and Crafts Enforcement Act of 2000
Representation of a major municipality in defense against a variety of civil rights claims
Representation of businesses and individuals involving contractual, real estate and other general business litigation issues
Representation of medical professionals in defense of professional liability claims
