Kate McKenzie was appointed Group Managing Director, Telstra Wholesale on 16 January 2006.
Kate joined Telstra in August 2004 as head of Telstra Regulatory. Within a year she was promoted to the role of Deputy Group Managing Director, Public Policy & Communication.
Prior to joining Telstra, Kate was Director General of the NSW Department of Commerce. She previously held positions as the Director General of the NSW Department of Industrial Relations, General Manager of the WorkCover Authority of NSW, and Deputy Director General of the NSW Cabinet Office.
Throughout her career, Kate has been involved in the development and implementation of Competition Policy, Energy Reform, Corporatisation and Privatisation and Commonwealth/State negotiations on a range of complex policy issues.Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney. |
