Karin Chamberlain manages KLD's family of Indexes. Karin is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of KLD's social indexes; provides client service; oversees KLD's proxy voting services; and runs the company's index committees.
Karin came to KLD from the Worldtimes, Inc., where she was Manager of the Money Matters Institute, a think tank that focuses on the impact of direct foreign investment in emerging economies.Previous to that she worked part-time as a social research intern at Trillium Asset Management while pursuing her Masters in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School, Tufts University. Her thesis examined the intellectual property rights of the pharmaceutical derivatives of medicinal plants and indigenous knowledge. From 1994-1997 Karin served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador. She speaks Spanish and German fluently and has working knowledge of French and Quichua.
