Ms. Karen Sutch is a Project Manager for the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology Group. She oversees the sample preparation, analysis and identification of trace particulate contaminants within the pharmaceutical industry using such techniques as optical microscopy, scanning electron spectroscopy/energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM/EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and RAMAN spectroscopy. Other areas of expertise include high resolution imaging of pharmaceutical products, using the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) in research and development or product release. Ms. Sutch is experienced in particle sizing techniques, such as computer controlled scanning electron microscopy (CC-SEM), the automated Raman imaging system (Liquid Particle Explorer) and HIAC. Her other responsibilities involve report writing, communications with clients, data management and training of scientists on analytical techniques. In addition, she is familiar with the operation and interpretation of data in the inorganic chemistry department using the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP/MS), the Hydra atomic absorption (AA) mercury analyzer and the flame AA spectrometer, etc. Ms. Sutch represents RJ Lee Group at annual pharmaceutical meetings such as American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and INTERPHEX. |
