Karen has over 12 years of finance and consulting experience. At LM+Co she has provided advisory services to lenders, sponsors and companies with revenues ranging from $75 million to $28 billion, principally in the healthcare, newspaper, real estate, building products, automotive, telecom, energy, textile, chemical, paper, cable and quick-service industries. Recent engagements include: Journal Register, Masonite , HealthSouth, FHC Health Systems, Delphi, Adelphia, Tender Loving Care, ACMI, a major paper converter, and Wayn -Tex.
Karen’s significant healthcare experience is diverse and includes engagements in varied sectors within the industry. She has supervised teams that have tackled complex financial and restructuring issues, conducted due diligence for private equity clients, and played an integral role in the sale of 100% of an manufacturer’s stock to a strategic buyer.
Prior to entering the restructuring field, Karen was an Associate in the Power Group of Lehman Brothers’ Investment Banking Division in London. She has also worked with ABN AMRO Bank in the Treasury Department and as a Portfolio Manager, and began her career as a pension consultant for Hewitt Associates.
Karen earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and received a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics, Political Science & Hispanic Studies from Northwestern University. She is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) and the Association for Corporate Growth. Karen is fluent in Spanish. |
