Karen S. Kim was appointed Executive Vice President in January 2005. She currently oversees the company's Commercial operations; Corporate Communications activities, including media relations and branding; and the Corporate Development function, including corporate strategy, business development and strategic alliances. She joined Elan in September 2003 as Senior Vice President, head of Global Corporate Strategy and Strategic Alliances. Prior to joining Elan, Ms. Kim held senior management positions at Merrill Lynch, which she joined in 1998, and where she was most recently head of Client Development in the International Private Client Group. Previously, she held senior management positions at the Cambridge Group and The MAC Group/Gemini Consulting. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and earned her MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. |
