Karen is a financial planner with SIAS, Inc. She has worked in the fee-only financial planning arena since 1997, helping individuals with their financial planning and investment concerns. Before starting her career in financial planning, Karen spent four years working for the U.S. Department of the Navy in Arlington, Virginia as a cost analyst. Karen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics and earned a M.S. in Business with a concentration in Financial Management from Johns Hopkins University. Karen was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter in 2000 and earned the right to use the CFP® mark of distinction in 2003. Karen is currently a member of the CFA Society of Colorado (formerly the Denver Society of Security Analysts) and has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Colorado. Karen also currently serves as the Programs Chairperson for the Centennial Estate Planning Council. |
