Before joining the firm in 2003, Karen Chadwell worked as a patent attorney in Connecticut where her practice primarily focused on chemical and biotechnology patent prosecution, as well as foreign patent prosecution. Karen attended Loyola University - Chicago School of Law, where she was a Senior Editor for the Annals of Health Law Journal. Before entering law school, she worked for two years in the biotechnology industry in Cambridge and Brookline, Massachusetts doing research generally aimed at gene regulation. Prior to her work in the industry, Karen was enrolled in graduate studies at the Ohio State University Department of Molecular Genetics for two years, where she conducted lectures and research. She attended Loyola Universtity - Chicago, where she earned a degree in Biology and a minor in Philosophy. Karen is admitted to the Massachusetts bar (2002) and the Connecticut bar (2001), and is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (2001). Her practice area concentrates mainly in the area of intellectual property law. She also does general corporate work. Karen resides in Longmeadow with her husband. |
