Karen joined Capital City in 1996 after the acquisition of First Federal Bank and served as senior vice president before being named executive vice president of residential lending in 1997. She is responsible for overseeing residential mortgage operations and residential servicing operations.
A native of Tallahassee she attended Tallahassee Community College and began her career in mortgage banking in 1970. A licensed mortgage broker Karen is a graduate of the Fannie Mae Institute for the Secondary Marketing School the Underwriting School and the Hedging and Pipeline Risk School. Karen has also served on the Chase Manhattan Mortgage Advisory Board and the FNMA Legislative Initiative team.
