Karen Gordon Mills joined Arrow Electronics' Board of Directors in 1994. She is a founding partner and Managing Director of Solera Capital, LLC, a venture capital fund.
She is also the founder of MMP Group, which has advised companies in the private equity industry since 1993. Mills has invested in and been active growing more than 20 companies in the food, media, textile and industrial components sectors.
From 1983 to 1993, Mills was the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Industrial Group for E.S. Jacobs and Company and ran five of the firm's majority-owned businesses. Her background includes consulting in the United States and Europe for McKinsey and Co. and product management for General Foods.
Mills received her bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University, magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where she was a Baker Scholar.
In addition to Arrow, she serves on the Boards of Directors for Scotts Miracle-Gro and Latina Media Ventures. She served as Vice-Chair of the Overseers of Harvard University and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. |
