Karen C. Leppert is a Senior Manager in the Valuations & Financial Opinions Group. Ms. Leppert has 12 years of valuation consulting experience concerning domestic and foreign markets. She has provided valuation services for numerous purposes including; purchase price allocation (SFAS 141), property tax appeals, financing, accounting (GASB 34), insurance placement, and the establishment and maintenance of fixed asset property record systems for public sector entities; structured finance transactions relating to domestic and U.S. cross-border leases for qualified technological equipment (QTE) and service contract structures; end-of-lease negotiations; and lease portfolio valuation. Ms. Leppert has provided fixed asset valuation and management services to clients in numerous industries, including local and county governments, school districts, colleges and universities, water and wastewater districts, casinos, hotels and resorts, religious organizations, and healthcare facilities. Ms. Leppert also has significant experience valuing a wide range of industries including food processing, plastics manufacturing, glass manufacturing, general manufacturing, hospitality, communications (voice and data), transportation (rail and air), and electric utilities. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Leppert was a Director with American Appraisal Associates, Inc. In this position, Ms. Leppert executed and managed large appraisal engagements, and was responsible for updating and standardizing valuation procedures. Ms. Leppert earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with majors in Finance and Real Estate & Urban Development from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a Candidate Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) in the Machinery and Technologies Specialties discipline.
