Karel Vuursteen was appointed to the Supervisory Board of ING Group in April 2002. He worked for Royal Philips Electronics from 1968 to 1991, including assignments in Scandinavia, Germany and the United States. He joined Heineken in 1991 and was Chairman of the Executive Board of Heineken from 1993 to his retirement in 2002.
Mr. Vuursteen is a member of the Remuneration Committee and of the Nomination Committee.
