Kamyar is the Vice President of Intellectual Property, Strategy and Planning at Melodis Corporation. As Vice President of Intellectual Property, Kamyar is responsible for developing Melodis' IP strategy, including the identification and protection of the numerous inventions and innovations developed by Melodis. As Vice President of Strategy and Planning, Kamyar is responsible for developing strategies for Melodis’ operations and expansion, as well as evaluating and forming business partnerships.Prior to his position at Melodis, Kamyar practiced as a corporate and commercial attorney at a reputable law firm in Toronto, Canada, working on complex commercial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, share and asset purchases and sales, corporate financing, and security agreements. Kamyar is also an accomplished scholar in intellectual property law and has been granted a number of awards for his achievements in the fields of patent and copyright law.Kamyar has a multi-disciplinary background. After completing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors degree in Music at York University, Toronto, Kamyar completed his graduate education in law at Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto, and obtained his M.B.A. from Schulich School of Business, Toronto.Kamyar is also a composer and a concert pianist. He has performed piano in numerous solo recitals and competitions, and acted as the director of various chamber music ensembles. |
