K.G. Santhya is a senior program officer based in New Delhi, where she manages and conducts research on adolescent girls’ reproductive and sexual health. She is also involved in a multi-state survey of young people, and capacity-strengthening activities including a small grants research program and a health and population innovation fellowship program. Before joining the Population Council, Santhya provided technical assistance on social health issues to the Strategic Planning Division of the Salisbury, South Australia local government. Santhya holds a Ph.D. in population studies from Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, and M.A. degrees in economics from the University of Kerala and in population studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences in Mumbai, India. She was the recipient of a postdoctoral fellowship from the Population Council in New Delhi. Click here for CV.
