Dr. Lavin, co-director of the Fetal Treatment Center of Northeast Ohio, is the chief of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Akron Children's Hospital. As the senior perinatologist (high-risk obstetrician) in the Akron area, he has also been rated as one of America's top obstetricians and selected by his peers as best in obstetrics in northeast Ohio. He serves as co-director of the Akron Regional Perinatal Center and associate chairman and associate program director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Akron General Medical Center. He is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NEOUCOM and has received numerous awards, including the American Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence in Teaching Award.
