Justin Aborn, Chief Information Officer Justin Aborn joined General Compression after serving as Chief IP Architect for Bridgeport Networks, where he was responsible for their product's Internet Protocol related matters, and was the inventor of several of the company's patent applications. Justin previously held management and engineering positions at Level 3 Communications, Genuity, GTE Internetworking, and Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN). Justin served as deputy CTO at Genuity and GTE Internetworking, a role in which he was responsible for the Internet backbone interconnection matters of one of the world's largest Internet backbones; as well as being responsible for new technology evaluation and deployment. He earned a BA degree in Engineering from Dartmouth College, a BE degree in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth's Thayer School of Engineering, and completed the Greater Boston Executive Program (GBEP) at MIT's Sloan School of Management. Justin served as a U.S. State Department delegate to two international telecommunications forums, and co-chaired the Federal Communications Commission's Network Reliability and Interoperability Council (NRIC) Broadband Focus Group in 2002. |
