Jürgen Langer has been a member of the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG since 2003.
Jürgen Langer was born November 7, 1954 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
He graduated from high school in 1969 and started his apprenticeship as a car mechanic at Frankfurt sales and service outlet.
He worked as a car mechanic from 1972 to 1984 at the Frankfurt sales and service outlet. In February 1982 he qualified as a master craftsman (Meister).
He has been on the Works Council of the Frankfurt sales and service outlet since 1981, and a full-time member of the Works Council since 1984. In 1987, he became the chairman of the Works Council of the Frankfurt sales and service outlet.
In 1996 he became a member of the General Works Council and since November 2001 he has been chairman of the branch committee of the General Works Council and chairman of the European Sales Working Group of the Euro Works Council.
He also serves as a lay judge in the Federal Labor Court. |
