Dr. Julian Spallholz is founding scientist of Selenium, Ltd. and also a Professor at Texas Tech University in Nutrition and Biochemistry. He is a member of the Biotechnology Institute at Texas Tech. He was previously a Research Chemist with the Veteran’s Administration and Associate Research Professor of Chemistry at the State University of New York, Albany. He joined the faculty of Texas Tech University in 1978 as Associate Professor and later was promoted to Professor of Nutrition at Texas Tech. He served as the Director of the Institute of Nutritional Sciences of Texas Tech and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and later as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Nutritional Immunology. Dr. Spallholz holds a B.S. in biology and M.S. in biochemistry from Colorado State University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Hawaii in biochemistry-biophysics. |
