Julian Baker has served as a director of Genomic Health since January 2001. Mr. Baker is a Managing Member of Baker Bros. Advisors LLC which he and his brother Felix Baker PhD founded in 2000. Mr. Baker’s firm manages Baker Brothers Investments a family of long-term investment funds for major university endowments and foundations which are focused on publicly traded life sciences companies. Mr. Baker’s career as a fund manager began in 1994 when he co-founded a biotechnology investing partnership with the Tisch Family now known as Baker/Tisch investments. Previously Mr. Baker was employed from 1988 to 1993 by the private equity investment arm of Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation. He is also a director of Incyte Corporation Neurogen Corporation Theravance Inc. and Trimeris Inc. Mr. Baker holds an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University. |
