Julian C. Baker has served as a director of Trimeris since April 2004. Mr. Baker is a Managing Member of Baker Bros. Advisors, LLC, which he and his brother, Felix Baker, PhD, founded in 2000. Mr. Baker’s firm manages Baker Brothers Investments, a family of long-term investment funds for university endowments and foundations, which are focused on publicly traded life sciences companies. Mr. Baker’s career as a fund manager began in 1994 when he co-founded a biotechnology investing partnership with the Tisch Family. Previously, Mr. Baker was employed from 1988 to 1993 by the private equity investment arm of Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation. He is also a director of Incyte Corporation, Neurogen Corporation, and Genomic Health, Inc. Mr. Baker holds an AB magna cum laude from Harvard University. |
