Julia P. Jannausch is vice president of culture and training for Con-way Inc. (previously known as CNF Inc.) is a $4.2 billion transportation and logistics company with businesses in less-than-truckload motor carriage, truckload and brokerage services, logistics, warehousing, supply chain management and trailer manufacturing.
Named to her current position in 2005, Ms. Jannausch is responsible for managing the company’s cultural development, training and leadership development. She previously served as vice president of human resources for Con-Way Transportation Services (CTS), CNF’s $2.8 billion regional trucking subsidiary. In that position, she had overall responsibility for all human resource and benefit issues, including strategic planning, policies and training programs for the entire CTS organization. She had been director of human resources and received the vice president title in 2000.
An executive with more than 20 years of people-management experience, Ms. Jannausch joined the CTS organization in 1983 as an account manager in the account management center for CTS’s largest regional carrier, Con-Way Central Express (CCX). In 1984, she became the department’s first supervisor and, in 1985, its first manager. As manager, she was responsible for recruiting, retaining, developing and managing the supervisory and sales staff for CCX’s inside sales and entry-level management positions. In 1993, she was appointed manager of training for CCX and was promoted to director of training for the entire CTS organization in 1997.
Ms. Jannausch is a member of the Human Resources Planning Society, the American Society of Training and Development and the Society of Human Resource Management, from which she earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education from Rhode Island College. Ms. Jannausch is based at Con-way Freight’s headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI. |
