Julia M. McNamara has been the President of Albertus Magnus College since 1982. She is the Vice-Chairman and former Chairman of the Yale-New Haven Hospital Board of Trustees and the Chairman of the Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation. She also serves on the Board of the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Dr. McNamara has received numerous awards for community recognition and leadership including the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award and the New Haven Historical Society Seal of the City Award. She was inducted into the Junior Achievement Free Enterprise Hall of Fame, has received gubernatorial appointments to the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority, and she was awarded the Wilbur L. Cross Medal of the Yale University Graduate School in 2002.
