As Vice President of Human Resources for Cygnus Business Media, Judy Heidebrecht is responsible for overseeing all human resource functions for one of the industry's most successful business-to-business communications companies. In this capacity, she coordinates operations and benefits for the nearly 500 Cygnus employees based in over 10 locations around the country. Ms. Heidebrecht manages staffing, compensation, training and development, employee relations, safety and benefit matters such as insurance, 401k and vacation schedules. She is also charged with developing and directing a human resources strategic plan in support of Cygnus Business Media's mission and values. She is a member of the Executive Management Team where she participates in recommending, administering and monitoring all portions of employee programs. She manages the company's online Job Opportunities database and works to communicate ongoing company benefits through internal print and online programs. Ms. Heidebrecht joined the company in 1989 as a HR Generalist. Her previous experience includes developing and administering recruitment strategies, interviewing, and hiring of entry level, management, and executive positions, managing wage and salary guidelines, drafting job descriptions and ensuring legal compliance with various government and state agencies. She is deeply involved in associations such as the Society for Human Resource Management and the Jefferson County Human Resource Management. |
