Judith Wilkinson is a founding partner of Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher. She has broad experience in public and investor relations, including crisis and transactions and advises clients across a wide range of industries.
Among her recent engagements, Ms Wilkinson represented Great Plains Energy in its announced acquisition of Aqula; Morgans Hotel Group in its acquisition of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas; Agere Systems and LSI Logic in their merger; and numerous other clients with respect to dissident shareholders, proxy contests and financial crises. Ms. Wilkinson also advises numerous long-term clients on various public relations and investor relations matters.
Prior to joining Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher, Ms. Wilkinson was a Managing Director at Abernathy MacGregor Frank. While there, she advised a variety of U.S. and international companies on corporate matters and transactions. These included The Pittston Company (now Brink’s) in its elimination of tracking stock; AMP in its defense against an unsolicited takeover attempt by Allied Signal; WorldCom in its merger with MCI; and the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico in its sale of a majority stake in the Puerto Rico Telephone Company to GTE.
Ms. Wilkinson began her career holding a number of corporate positions with AT&T. For AT&T Capital, a subsidiary of AT&T, she managed a start-up leasing business, served as Chief Financial Officer for another of its strategic business units, and was head of corporate development, a position in which she negotiated mergers and acquisitions for AT&T Capital. Earlier she worked in the financial planning group of AT&T’s Corporate Treasury where her responsibilities included raising debt and equity, and managing AT&T’s relationship with the rating agencies.
Ms. Wilkinson holds a B.A. from Rosemont College and an M.B.A. from Temple University. She serves on The Board of Trustees of Rosemont College. Ms. Wilkinson is a member of the Financial Women’s Association and a mentor in its program with Murry Bergtraum High School, a business high school in New York City. She is also a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI). |
