Judith Rooney has more than 20 years of combined executive and clinical experience in the healthcare industry. Her expertise covers the areas of corporate compliance and regulation, licensure requirements, compliance program development, the detection and prevention of fraud/abuse, and billing integrity. Ms. Rooney joined CDSI as Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs in September 2000. During her tenure, she has been responsible for the Company's corporate compliance initiatives, the HIPAA privacy program implementation and the internal billing/compliance auditing functions. Additionally, Ms. Rooney has facilitated the support activities to the Company's partnership businesses. Appointed Senior Vice President and Division Manager for Chartwell Home Therapies in September of 2005, she was also responsible for the managerial oversight of the partnerships. Prior to joining CDSI, Ms. Rooney spent nine years with Home Medical of America (formerly NMC Homecare) as director of compliance and regulatory affairs and as regional clinical manager for that company's eastern locations. She began her nursing career in 1982 with Albany Memorial Hospital. Other positions have included infusion nurse specialist for the Visiting Nurse Association of Albany, clinical supervisor at Saratoga Hospital, and clinical instructor for Rensselaer (N.Y.) County vocational training. |
