Juan is responsible for partnerships, alliances, OEM, VAR and distributors on a global basis. He is also spearheading expansion into Asia/ Pacific, including opening GemStone Japan KK. Juan joined GemStone in 1986, and has previously held numerous positions in sales including senior vice president of financial services, during which he opened the financial services office in New York and grew this vertical market by establishing relationships with the major investment banks. He also previously served as the sales director for the Southern U.S. territory, where he grew this area to become one of the leading revenue contributors for the company. Juan started his career at IBM World trade corporation, where he was responsible for sales to major retail banks in central America. He also spent nine years at EDS in the Health Care Industry Group, where he was responsible for major deliverables and new system implementation at EDS's largest health care customer. He was part of the team that managed EDS's largest healthcare account, $100M+ annually, and the largest health care processor in the U.S. Juan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Allegheny College. |
