Juan Felipe Santos is an Associate in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group and part of the ERISA and Welfare Benefits Practice Area. He joined our firm for the first time as a Legal Assistant Intern in 1999. After being admitted to law school, Juan Felipe worked over the summers as a Summer Associate and throughout the academic semesters as a Law Clerk.
Practice and Experience
He represents clients through all phases and types of federal and local labor and employment lawsuits and administrative matters, ranging from individual charges and cases to broad-scale collective actions regarding wage and hour disputes, employment discrimination and harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, statutory leaves of absence, welfare benefits (ERISA), Railway Labor Act, defamation, and other employment-related torts. Counseling on employment matters and practices to a diverse industry clientele. Conduct due diligence employment law audits. Active role in complex federal and state cases. Trial litigation experience. Excellent settlement negotiation skills. Speaker at various seminars.
Education
He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2000, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico Law School in 2003.
Admissions
Mr. Santos is admitted to the practice of law before the courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
